Nondiscrimination Policy

The American Academy of Art does not discriminate in its admissions programs, student services or hiring practices on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, age, disability, pregnancy, or military status.  This policy applies to faculty, staff and students.  This policy also prohibits retaliation for reporting possible violations of this policy, for cooperating with any related investigation, or for participating in such a complaint process.

Americans With Disabilities Act Accommodation

The school reasonably accommodates applicants and students with disabilities to the extent required by applicable law. The facilities at the school are accessible to the physically challenged.  Students with disabilities who may need accommodations in any class must notify the instructor no later than the second class in the semester so that reasonable accommodations may be made.  Documentation of the student’s disability and how it impacts her/her participation must also be submitted to the Academic Dean.
