Open House Highlights :

Introduction to:

• Career opportunities for artists
• Becoming a professional artist
• Job placement assistance
• Acceptance to the Academy
• Viewing and discussing your portfolio

Alumni Panel:

• Hear professional artists talk about their jobs and how the Academy helped to prepare them for their careers.

Artist Demos:

• Watch drawing, painting, and watercolor demonstrations by professional instructors who work in the art field.

Presentations:

• Discover “What the Academy can do for you.”
• Learn about the Academy’s illustration program and view student artwork.
• Find out how the Career Services department can help you achieve your dreams, and hear alumni success stories.

Design:

• Discover how students in the Academy’s design program learn how to combine typography and images to create a wide variety of designs, such as magazine and newspaper advertisements, television storyboards and product packaging and displays.
• View samples of student work.
• Speak with our design instructor about exciting careers in the design field.

Multimedia/Web Design:

• Hear how students in the
  multimedia/web design program learn to use several software programs to create interactive and time-based media that target a specific market and objective.
• Learn about the Academy’s web design program.
• Discover the answer to the question “What is multimedia?”
• Find out how the Academy can prepare you for a rewarding career in the digital art field.

3-D Modeling/Animation:

• Learn how students in the Academy’s 3-D modeling/animation program incorporate traditional skills such as sculpture and drawing with 3-D digital skills to create 3-D models and animations in a digital environment.
• View examples of student work.
