WORLD SERIES HEROES
CAPTURED IN COMIC STRIP LAYOUT
FORMER ACADEMY STUDENT "MITCH O'CONNELL"
ADDS
CREATIVE TOUCH TO CITYWIDE CELEBRATION!
Mike Kellams gave me an urgent call first thing in the morning. He needed a full color White Sox comic strip that would take up the entire front page of the Chicago Tribune's World Series section, and he needed it by the end of the day. Of course I said, "YES!". I can always guarentee that a job will be done on time, quality though... well, I'll give it my best shot. Luckily the job ended up being a little simpler than I envisioned. I just had to do portraits of Joe Crede and Scott Podsednik and Mike did the rest. Over the years I've done about 300 illustrations for the Trib, but a special thanks to Mike for putting me back in Chicago's favorite morning paper after almost a decade long dry spell.
