THOMAS BLACKSHEAR attended the American Academy of Art from 1973 to
1977, receiving his degree in 1977 and is best known for his depictions
of
African Americans and is one of the most popular contemporary collectible
artists in the world. He has been honored with the International
Collectible Artist Award, created works for Disney, National Geographic,
the United Postal Service and Universal Studios. Recently, Lord of the
Rings director Peter Jackson sought him out to create a poster for the
recently released King Kong remake titled “The Eighth Wonder of
the
