Sundblom, Haddon

HADDON SUNDBLOM attended the American Academy of Art in 1924 and is best known for the images of Santa Claus he created for The Coca-Cola Company and the iconic image of the “Quaker Oats Man” in 1957, which is still used today. He was awarded the gold and silver medal from the Art Directors
Club and the Society of Illustrators and was posthumously inducted into
the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame in 1987. Haddon Sundblom on the
American Academy of Art: “No other art school could be more sincere and
successful in its efforts to equip the student with sound, practical
training-training that is certain to bring good results when entering the
professional art field.”
