Foundations and Fine Art
Lynn J. Armstrong has been a member of the faculty at the American Academy of Art since 1992, serving as instructor for many classes, including Life Drawing, Anatomy and Advanced Anatomy, Oil Painting, and Science of Perception, among others. Most recently, she has focused her efforts on Life Drawing at both the Introduction and Intermediate levels.
She is a graduate of DePaul University, holding a BA in Art, with a Studio Major, Art History Concentration. Additionally, she holds an Associate’s Degree with the American Academy of Art in Illustration, and continues studies at DePaul, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Florence Academy of Art in Italy.
Ms. Armstrong is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and the Gold Key National Honor Society, as well as the Art Institute of Chicago.
She has volunteered with Art Media and Techniques for Children at the Summer Celebration of the Arts in Crown Point, Indiana, and also volunteers her time at the Autumn Community Rest Home in Sherrillville, Indiana.
