Kryczka, RichardIllustrationRichard Kryczka is a nationally exhibited illustrator, designer and painter. He has taught at the American Academy of Art since 1987, and has served as the chairperson of the Illustration department since 1990. He currently teaches Illustration and Advanced Illustration. Mr. Kryczka’s work is represented by the Anne Louckes Gallery in Glencoe, Illinois; Dovetail Gallery in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin; and Morava Studios in Oak Park, Illinois. He also works with various commercial clients including MSL Advertising, KHM Plastics, Technifast and Southern Illinois University graphics department. He has been honored with many awards for his fine art work, and has also received COARA and NACA awards for his illustration and design work. Recently, he won first place in the 66th Annual Painting and Sculpture Exhibit at the Polish Museum of America in Chicago. Mr. Kryczka was also included in the 7th edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. He holds an A.A. in Illustration and Graphic Design from the American Academy of Art where he studied under the late Irving Shapiro, a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing and an M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.
