Luc, CarolVisual CommunicationsCarol Luc is a nationally exhibited fine artist and graphic designer. She has been a faculty member at the American Academy of Art since 1995, and has served as chairperson of the Visual Communications department since 2000. She currently teaches Computer Graphic Foundations, Traditional Digital Illustration and Portfolio in Visual Communications. Her fine art has been included in multiple juried solo and group exhibitions, and her work was published in Art Scene, Chicago 2000 by Ivy Sundell. As a graphic designer, her specialization is in the field of biomedical communications. She has previously held teaching positions at Northern Illinois University, Morton Community College and Elgin Community College. Ms. Luc has received many awards, including a Northern Illinois University fellowship, a CAAP grant, and several national visual artist residencies. She holds a B.F.A. in Advertising Design and an M.A. in Painting from Wayne State University in Detroit, and an M.F.A. in Painting from Northern Illinois University.
