Medical illustrator Kristin Mount joined the faculty of the American Academy of Art as a human anatomy instructor in 2005.

She has been employed as a freelance medical illustrator since 1993. She works with a variety of clients including medical book publishers, surgeons and pharmaceutical companies.

Ms. Mount has provided courses in Adobe Illustrator at national meetings of the Association of Medical Illustrators and has taught Illustration Applications and Advanced Illustration Techniques at the Univeristy of Illinois at Chicago School of Biomedical Visualization.

She received a local Silver Addy Award for illustrations in an Indiana Firebirds advertising campaign in 2003.

Ms. Mount holds a B.F.A. in Illustration from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Associated Medical Sciences degree in medical illustration from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
