Samycia, ChristinaHumanities and SciencesChristina L. Samycia joined the staff at the American Academy of Art in 2003 and currently serves as Academic Advisor as well as instructor for Communications, Health Studies, and Math. She also currently serves as adjunct faculty for Roosevelt University, teaching courses in psychology and statistics, among others, and is a counselor for Northwestern Counseling Services in Chicago. Previously, she taught at Robert Morris College in the health studies department, and served as counselor for Crane High School in Chicago. As president of Wellness Innovations, Ms. Samycia has presented seminars and lectures on wellness for a multitude of Fortune 500 companies and has published several articles for Employee Services Management Magazine and International Foundation of Employee Benefit Programs Digest. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and the Worksite Wellness Council. She volunteers her time with the Illinois Department for Children and Family Services. Ms. Samycia received a BA in Finance and an MA in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Currently, she is advancing towards a Ph.D. in Psychology from Roosevelt University. |
