Session 1: 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or
Session 2: 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

Who should attend the Academy's Financial Aid Workshop?

New students who are registered to start classes in September 2018 along with their parents or legal guardians.

 

 

Benefits of attending the Academy’s Financial Aid Workshop…

Financial Aid Staff will be available to assist you with:
  • Completing your FAFSA*.
  • Making corrections to your FAFSA, including guidance on using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.
  • Completing your required Financial Aid Forms**.
  • Find out what happens after your FAFSA has been submitted.
  • Review of the Financial Aid Program and the benefits of a college degree.
  • Find out about career opportunities available to you and alumni success stories from the Career Services Office.
 
 
To make the best use of your time at the workshop:
 

Request your Federal Student Aid ID prior to the workshop. (Visit Federal Student Aid Website to create a username and password. It is important that both the student and parent have their own Federal Student Aid ID prior to starting the FAFSA. Keep your information in a secure location.)

 
** Attempt to complete your Financial Aid Forms in advance and bring the completed forms 
    with you that day. We can then review your forms for any updates required and answer
    any specific questions that you may have.
 
 
What to bring to the workshop…
 
Bring the following information and documents with you to the workshop as they are essential to completing and/or updating your FAFSA:
  • Federal Student Aid ID (for each student and parent).
  • Student’s Social Security card.
  • Parent’s Social Security numbers.
  • Student’s driver’s license or state ID (if applicable).
  • Student and parent date of birth.
  • Student Alien Registration Card (if not a U.S. citizen).
  • Parent’s current marital status (month and year).
  • Income amounts: 2016 federal tax returns, W-2 forms, and any applicable income tax documents. 
  • Records of untaxed income or benefits received in 2016 which may include: child support paid and/or received, Supplemental Social Security Disability, or Veterans non-education benefits.
