Meet Academy instructor Mr. Mat Barber Kennedy.
Mat Barber Kennedy R.I. is a fine artist and watercolorist who is nationally and internationally exhibited. He teaches watercolor at the American Academy of Art.
Mat is primarily a plein air painter and spends much of the summer painting and teaching in invitational events across the States. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolor, The Royal Society of Arts, The American Impressionist Society and the Illinois Watercolor Society.
Mat studied architecture at Sheffield University and continued his training with a Masters degree at the Royal College of Art. He is represented by several galleries in the United Kingdom and the US. In the United States, he is represented for publishing by Grand Image in Seattle.
