The Fall 2020 semester at the American Academy of Art will start on Monday, August 31, 2020.

The education that you are about to begin is one of the most important experiences that you will ever have as you work toward your professional goals. We hope to make your transition into the Academy as smooth as possible. It is likely that you will have questions regarding your course of study, other matters relating to your schooling, and your future career in the visual arts. All of this and more will be covered at the two-day New Student Orientation.

Check-in time begins at 8:40am, with orientation beginning promptly at 9:00am.
Orientation will be held on site at the American Academy of Art College, 332 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago. Please enter the College through our main entrance on Michigan Avenue and take the elevator up to the third floor.
Please select your preferred time to attend Student or Parent Orientation using the links at the bottom of this page.
Students entering the Fall 2020 semester are required to attend both days of Orientation.
Due to safety requirements, we are limited to the amount of students attending each orientation session. Places will be given on a first-come first serve basis. Thank you for understanding.
Lunch will be provided.
Student ID photos will be taken at orientation.
There will be a mandatory Housing Orientation for housing students during their scheduled student orientation. If you have any further questions or concerns about housing, please contact Lindsay Sandbothe, Housing Coordinator, at 312-697-3138.
The education office will remain open until 4:30 p.m.
If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar’s office. We are excited to welcome you to the American Academy of Art College and are looking forward to working with you.
