opportunities for artists, talk with Academy alumni and instructors, and observe drawing, painting, and watercolor demonstrations by professional instructors who work in the art field.

Where can I park? Grant Park South is the closest parking garage to the Academy. Several outdoor lots are located around the Academy as well. Click here for more parking options.
How many people can I bring with me? The Academy welcomes all guests and family.
Does it cost anything? No, there is no cost for the Academy Open House.
What time does it start and when should I be there? The Open House will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
You can register for either Session 1 which starts at 11:00 a.m.
Session 2 which starts at 12:00 p.m. or
Session 3 which starts at 1:00 p.m.
How long is the presentation? There will be activities and demonstrations going on all day in each of the classrooms throughout the Academy. There are three presentations titled “What The Academy Can Do For You” that start at 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m. or 1:15 p.m. depending on which session you sign up for.
What information will the presentation cover? The presentation covers the mission of the Academy, history of the Academy, career opportunities for artists, the importance of the Academy’s Foundations Program and many other significant things that will help transition you from high school to a career in art.
Is there food? The Academy will be serving lite refreshments throughout the day.
