Thank you for your interest in Student Housing at the American Academy of Art College. 
 
The Academy is pleased to announce our continued partnership with the University Center, one of the premier dorm programs in Chicago. The building is located at 525 South State Street, in the heart of the Loop’s academic corridor. Students can enjoy the excellent amenities and security provided by a dorm environment, while experiencing the excitement of down-town living.



The 2022-2023 cost of student housing at the University Center is $6,750 per student per semester for a two-semester agreement, and includes all furnishings, utilities, building amenities plus a meal plan. The meal plan is included in the housing cost and consists of 10 meals per week along with $23.50 weekly flex dollars that can be used for grab-and-go items at the cafeteria convenience store.


Our standard units are quad semi-suites, with two bedrooms each housing two students and connected by a shared bathroom. Please note that due to covid-19 and the limited availability of beds the building may change the floorplans of our units, however there will never be more than two students to a bedroom.



At this time we are accepting housing applications from incoming students as well as those continuing their education at the Academy. Space is limited, and beds will be assigned first-come, first-served based on students’ completion of the following housing checklist:

	$90 Application Fee
	$350 Security Deposit Paid
	$6,750 Fall Rent Paid OR completed Financial Aid Payent Contract that includes loans for housing.

For your convenience, the application, application fee, security deposit, and rent are
available to complete digitally.

The deadline for completion of all items, including application, fees, and first rent payments and/or finalization of loans is July 1st, 2022. Again, space is limited and cannot be guaranteed for fall – beds will be assigned to students based on their completion of the above checklist. Please complete your housing materials as soon as possible to secure your housing reservation.

For students who are not able to house through the Academy’s program at the University Center, we have contacts at other local student housing centers for overflow and alternative units or they may join our housing waiting list for potential openings later in the school year.
