SCHOOL CLOSED
Thank you to all of our amazing faculty, staff, and alumni of the Academy.
It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that, due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, we are closing our doors and will no longer be accepting new students. This decision was not made lightly, and it is a reflection of the challenging circumstances we have faced.
We are deeply grateful for your interest in our program and for the time you invested in your application. While we are unable to proceed with new enrollments, we hope you will find other opportunities that align with your goals and aspirations.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this time. We wish you all the very best in your future endeavors.
Warm regards,
American Academy of Art College
JULY 30TH FROM 12 PM TO 7 PM – INVITING ALL ALUMNI, FACULTY, AND FRIENDS OF THE ACADEMY TO THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ART’S FAREWELL DAY
It is with a blend of nostalgia and gratitude that we invite you to join us for a special Open House as we commemorate the American Academy of Art’s remarkable 101-year journey. This gathering is dedicated to celebrating the countless memories, achievements, and creative legacies that have flourished within our cherished institution.
Throughout the years, the Academy has been a center of artistic talent, drive and ambition. We invite you to reconnect with fellow alumni, faculty, and friends to share your stories, reminisce about the past, and celebrate the impact the Academy has had on all our lives.
As a token of appreciation, we will have various pieces of artwork and memorabilia available for a suggested donation. These items, crafted by our talented community, serve as lasting mementos of the Academy’s enduring legacy.
We understand that the news of our closure may bring mixed emotions. However, this event is intended to be a positive and uplifting occasion—a time to honor the Academy’s legacy and the profound connections we’ve forged. We kindly ask that attendees come with the intention of celebrating and reflecting on the positive experiences and contributions that have defined the Academy.
We hope this event will be a heartfelt and joyous celebration, reflecting the true essence of the American Academy of Art. Thank you for being a vital part of our story.

It is with deep regret that the American Academy of Art College announces it will be closing its
doors after more than a century of preparing thousands of graduates for successful careers in art.
The decision to close comes in response to a significant decline in enrollments following the
COVID-19 pandemic, a challenge faced by many educational institutions.
In light of the closure, the Academy has entered into an agreement with a local accredited art
college to accept its students and expedite the admission and enrollment process for Fall 2024.
The Academy is also providing support to its students regarding transfer options to other
institutions where they can complete their academic programs.
The Academy regrets that, after more than 100 years, it lacks financial viability to continue
operations but it is extremely grateful for the opportunity it has had to serve tens of thousands of
students and to witness many of them graduate and lead successful careers.
The American Academy of Art College is making arrangements to maintain academic records
and make them available to students upon request. The Academy is also cooperating with its
regulators to provide necessary information relating to the closure of the institution.
The American Academy of Art College is profoundly grateful for the opportunity to prepare its
many graduates for successful careers in the art world over the past 100 years. The legacy of the Academy will continue to live on through the achievements and contributions of its talented
alumni.
