Two Academy Students were finalists in Ravinia’s 2023 Poster Competition. Of the six chosen finalists, Brooklyn Osborne was awarded Third Place and Katie Wachter received Honorable Mention for their original poster designs. For the past several years, Academy instructors Rich Kryczka and Kristin Mount have had their Art Direction and Digital Illustration students design a Ravinia poster as a class assignment. They are then encouraged to enter the competition on their own.

For over 40 years, the Ravinia Women’s Board has sponsored the annual competition.  The theme for this year’s competition was “Ravinia: Turn Up the Joy” and contestants were asked to “convey the rich experience of enjoying outstanding musical performances in this lush and historic outdoor park” in their designs. The winning design is used to create a poster that will promote Ravinia’s 2023 season, sold in the Ravinia Festival Shop, and distributed among hundreds of Chicagoland stores and public spaces.

Congratulations to Brooklyn and Katie!
